Palmetto FC announced today their final players for the 2012 roster. Nick Lane (Defender), Hunter Norton (Midfielder), Drew Ruggles (Defender), Thomas Valikonis (Defender) were added to the Bantams’ roster. All four players are rising juniors at Georgia Southern University.
Nick Lane has been a career starter since arriving at Georgia Southern. The Georgia native has been a key player on the backline. He is expected to play at right back for the Bantams
As the only midfielder of the group, Hunter Norton brings both a goal scoring threat and ability to create to the team. He has 6 goals and 5 assists in his career as the Eagles’ starting center midfielder. He will play the same role for the Bantams.
Drew Ruggles is a commodity that many teams would like to have. As a left-footed player and strong leg, he can be a weapon on the flank. The career starter will feature primarily as a left back.

Thomas Valikonis will be the final addition to the Bantams’ defense. He is yet another versatile player who can play anywhere in the back. He is the only player of this group from South Carolina.

Savage is a native of Summerville, SC, and has been a key member of Clemson’s soccer program since arriving three years ago. roster. Three University of South Carolina rising sophomores Robert Beebe

(Goalkeeper), Ryan Freiburger (Midfielder), and Braeden Troyer (Midfielder) will join

the team along with two rising seniors Mike Mangotic (Defender) and Eric Martinez

played for the South Carolina United FC Academy Team.

Beebe, a 2011 ESPN High School All-American and the 2011 South Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year, is from Charleston, SC. He will provide a great presence in goal and is expected to be a key player for the Bantams.
