About the PDL

United Soccer Leagues (USL) would like to present the Palmetto Football Club Bantams, the only men’s Premier Development League (PDL) soccer club in South Carolina. Starting in 2012, the Bantams will play in the USL’s PDL, which is the top amateur league in America. The PDL consists of 73 teams competing from four regions across the country. The PDL is seen as a “shop window” for professional clubs looking to discover and identify aspiring professional players who may enter the MLS Super Draft in future years. Many of the players currently playing in the MLS and elsewhere began their careers in the PDL when they were competing as elite college or high school athletes.
